The bilateral relations between Burundi and India exist for long time and are making progress in various domains. Burundi established its Embassy in India on 1st July 2009 and posted a resident Ambassador to New Delhi in 2010 whereas the High Commission of India in Kampala, Uganda is concurrently accredited as to Burundi.

Burundi and India are very much connected in different domains such as : Social and diplomatic relations through the various programs and activities in the fields of infrastructures , Education, Health and Capacity building.
